First aid training is a vital part of contingency planning in the workplace. The workplace itself is responsible for contingency planning. It is advisable to plan first aid training related to contingency planning on the basis of the first aid preparedness plan and to build the whole on the basis of a risk assessment.

The first aid course can be organized as the company's own customized training or the course participants can participate in the training that is open to everyone. Open courses can be found from the “EVENTS” tab as a listing.

The advantage of on-demand training is the possibility to flexibly integrate the training day into staff readiness training and development. It is easy to connect additional customer-specific wishes to training.

All Red Cross first aid courses and Red Cross first aid certificates obtained therefrom are valid for three (3) years. It is recommended that a person revise their first aid skills on a first aid course every three years.

You may upgrade your qualification for EA1® one time by attending an Emergency First Aid 4 h- or Emergency First Aid 8h course. The certificate continues the validity of the EA1® certificate one time for another three years.

Training under the Red Cross First Aid Training Program is eligible to be held by certified instructors with a valid Red Cross instructor qualification. First aid trainer training (ETK / HEK training) is additional professional training for health care professionals.

The training provides the ability and right to act as a trainer in Red Cross training programs and in the training tasks provided by the Red Cross. Obtaining and maintaining a trainer qualification requires that the trainer commits to complying with the Red Cross First Aid and health information training programs implementation guidelines.
